Lionel Blair is the latest celebrity to become a victim of dognappers. He is said to be devastated after his pet dog was taken.
The dog called Florence vanished as Susan, Lionel Blair’s wife took the dog for a walk with their other dog Jenny.
Lionel, 70, said, "She’s just the kindest, sweetest dog. My wife is totally besotted with her. We desperately want her back. We’re devastated…..she’s our other child."
Susan took both dogs to Nonsuch Park in Epsom, Surrey where they raced off together.
Lionel said, "Jenny came back flustered. We have a feeling they were after the two of them."
The couple go back daily to the park where the black and white bearded collie cross went missing last Thursday.
Details of the dog have been put on the website doglost.co.uk by Lionel and Susan, who have also put up posters. Lionel added, "We got her as a pup from Battersea. She looks like a special breed worth money, but she’s 10 and only worth anything to us."
Florence currently has been on medication for an ear infection as her ears get blocked up with hair and she is also going deaf.
Even though Lionel is dealing with losing a member of his family he will still appear as billed to appear in Wolverhampton, but he said, "I’ll go on with a showbiz smile, but I’m knotted inside. While I’m doing my numbers, I’m always thinking, ‘Where is she?’"
