Scott Cunningham, from South Lanarkshire, Scotland, has entered the record books after completing the latest challenge at Otterburn last Thursday.
Scott has become the first blind person to successfully complete three of the UKs most challenging walks with his guide dog Travis.
In 1993 Scott was diagnosed with a rare condition, Lebers Hereditary Optic Neuropathy and lost his sight as a result of the disorder. Since then he has relied on his guide dog, Travis who gave him a new life.
Scott and Travis covered 268 miles during their trek through Alston, Greenhead, Bellingham and lastly in Otterburn where they rested for a night at a guest house .
Together they have raised over £40,000 for the charity Guide Dogs for the Blind .
Scott said, Otterburn was our last overnight stop before we came over the border towards home .
Its an amazing feeling to have completed the trek, one which will stay with me forever I imagine.
I have been truly humbled by the help and generosity weve received as weve passed through the various counties on our journey .
People have been meeting up with us to give donations along the way; its been brilliant.
