Every year the Search and Rescue Dog Association, Scotland, arrange exercises for search and rescue dogs .
In next couple of days nine rescue dogs will be tested in a tough, training exercise at Glencoe .
The exercise runs from Thursday to Sunday and will include dogs accompanied by their handlers. The task will be to find 81 volunteers that will act as missing climbers.
The dogs are usually accompanied by mountain rescue teams, but sometimes the RAF and police may accompany them.
PC Allison Todd, a member of the Grampian Police Mountain Rescue Team, is hoping her collie Midge will do well.
She said, "I have been training for this for nearly two years."
"Midge has a brilliant nose, a great temperament and loves people. You could not want a better dog for the job - I only hope the assessors agree."
