Stars of The Underdog Show get new homes

The UKs largest dog welfare charity, Dogs Trust, is delighted to announce that all of the 8 dogs who took part in the BBC2 show The Underdog Show are receiving offers to be re-homed.

The participating dogs won the hearts and minds of people across the country with their clever and entertaining antics. They have proved that rescued dogs can be wonderful and loyal pets .

The participating dogs and personalities were:

Ginger and Anton du Beke (Strictly Come Dancing);

Albert and Clive Anderson (Comedian/Presenter);

Casper and Huey Morgan (Fun Lovin’ Criminals front man);

Cookie and Julia Sawalha (Actress);

Bruno and Kirsty Gallacher (Presenter);

Robson and Mishal Husain (BBC News Presenter);

Chump and Selina Scott (Broadcast Journalist) and

Claudia and Theo Paphitis (Dragons’ Den).

They all set about mastering a series of highly charged obedience and agility tests .

Clarissa Baldwin, CEO Dogs Trust said, "We are thrilled that Chump and Selina Scott were victorious. Selina handled Chump with care and patience throughout the whole series of The Underdog show and set a great example to potential dog owners - it was a well deserved win. Each and every Dogs Trust dog emerged as a winner throughout the series as the public could see just how great rescue dogs can be."

By the end of the show the dogs were offered new homes, as follows:

Bruno has been re-homed in Surrey ;

Claudia has been re-homed in Surrey;

Albert has been re-homed in central London ;

Ginger has been re-homed in Surrey;

Chump has been re-homed in Cornwall ;

Casper has been re-homed in Newcastle ;

Cookie has been re-homed in Shropshire ;

Robson has been re-homed in Northampton .
