Pedigree is to launch The Pedigree Adoption Drive, designed to raise awareness of homeless dogs in the UK, whilst also making money . The scheme will launch across the country on January 1st 2008, with Pedigree pledging £4.5 million to the cause. Furthermore, up until April 2008, for every product Pedigree sell they will donate money, with a total of up to £500,000 expected to be achieved.
The campaign will show case at Crufts, whilst it will also be heavily advertised throughout the media, with further information available on The Pedigree Adoption Drive website. Visitors to the website can pledge their support by buying a t-shirt, which they will also be able to use a search facility to locate local re-homing centres in case they are looking to give a home to an abandoned dog .
