The RSPCA has arrested three people in connection with dog fighting in Lincolnshire. Injured animals were rescued from properties in Kexby, Grantham and another near Gainsborough. The dogs are now in RSPCA care and are undergoing veterinary checks.
A raid in Kexby brought two of the arrests, whilst three pit bull type dogs, three treadmills, a suspected fighting ring and weighing scales were also seized from the address. The raid in Grantham saw one arrested, with match reports from dog fights were seized as well as seven dogs and a dead pit bull type dog. Footage of injured dogs was also found, and will be reviewed whilst the defendants await questioning.
