The owner of two Boston terriers has revealed his shock and devastation after one of his dogs was killed after being sucked up by a street sweeping vehicle . The owner of the dogs, Robert Machin, had just taken his dogs on a walk and was in the process of loading the dogs into his car when the incident occurred in the Bronx area of New York . The unfortunate dog, Ginger, was behind Mr Machin when the bristles of the truck sucked her up, killing her in the process.
The 57 year old was said to be shocked, devastated and dumfounded following the incident, but has since questioned whether the driver was acting responsibly as he drove through the streets at what Mr Machin is reported to have described as an unsafe speed. He also revealed how the truck driver had seemingly not noticed driving over Ginger, as he continued for two and a half blocks before being alerted by Mr Machin running behind him in an attempt to get his attention.
Mr Machin now plans to contact the Humane Society and hire a lawyer .
