An American inventor has created a machine that allows dogs to play catch with a ball without needing the owner to throw it. The 44 year old creator of the device posted a video on YouTube demonstrating how it works using his dachshund called Jerry.
The dog would run after a ball each time one is fired by the machine, and would then return back to the launcher once the ball had been recaptured. The process continues until the dog loses interest, though it requires a well trained dog for the device to work. Not only must the dog place the ball correctly in the contraption, whilst also ensuring it is not in the way of the machines firing line.
