An anonymous female surgeon is having a house built for two Great Danes at a cost of £250,000. Planning approval has already been granted, with construction set to begin in the spring. The house is being built on the exclusive Lower Mill Estate near Cirencester in Gloucester . The house is to be filled with lavish furnishings to suit the needs of the pets, including sheepskin lined, temperature controlled beds, a climate control heating system and automatic food and water dispensers .
Both dogs will have bedrooms with panoramic views overlooking their private playgrounds, whilst there will also be an 18 inch deep spa, a £150,000 sound system and a 52 inch plasma screen. The animals can be monitored by their owned via webcams at any time, whilst there is no danger of any other dogs intruding given the retina scanner in place at the front door.
A spokesman for Lower Mill Estate said: 'This is the first animal request we've had. People can design their own homes and this is a bit eccentric but it's really nice that someone appreciates their pets as much as this lady does. She's designed their quarters with all their needs at the fore.'
