Dog owners in Redditch are being given the chance to attend a Reiki pet session this Wednesday to get an insight into the ancient art. Reiki healing is a natural, alternative method of healing consisting of a gentle hands on technique. Qualified Reiki practitioner and master Sue Mulcahy will be giving a talk and demo at the session, in the hope of enlightening pet owners as to the benefits of Reiki healing for animals .
The session is being held at St Georges Community Hall in Redditch from 7:30pm, and has been organised by Redditch Vegetarians and Vegans (RVV). Kevin White from RVV says the technique can heal dogs on a mental, physical and emotional level, by helping either to overcome physical injuries or nervous dispositions. Pet owners who attend the session will see Sue Mulcahy perform the technique on one or two members’ dogs to help encourage pet owners to use the technique.
Reiki is far from a mainstream technique used to heal animals. Many vets are dubious about its benefits for animals, but Redditch residents are encouraged to make their minds up for themselves by attending the session on Wednesday evening.
