An American multi-millionaire has left more than ten million dollars to her three dogs . Heiress Gail Posner, daughter of the corporate takeover mogul Victor Posner, died in March at the age of 67, though her three pet dogs have since continued to receive luxurious treatments. It has been widely reported that the dogs receive weekly spa treatments, wear £10,000 Cartier necklaces and have full-time staff. The animals look set to continue to live this luxurious lifestyle, after the news that dog lover Posner has left her $8.3 million Miami beach house and a $3 million trust fund to her three pets.
Posner’s son, Bret Carr, is contesting the will, claiming that his mother was brainwashed into leaving her money to the dogs by her household staff, who – Carr alleges – used pain medication to sedate her into a condition to change her will in favour of both them and her dogs. Carr received £600,000 under the terms of Posner’s will, a small figure relative to the £20 million left to the household staff. Carr also received less than both of Posner’s bodyguards, who received £7 million and £5 million respectively, as well as Posner’s personal trainer, who received £1.3 million.
