Cassie, a seven year old Collie, is a dog whose weight had ballooned to more than nine stones.
This amazing weight gain occurred after being fed a human diet which included fish and chips.
Upon losing half her body weight, Cassie has got a new owner who is feeding her healthy dog portions.
Cassie had never tasted dog food with her previous owner and was indulged with a daily diet of chocolate, takeaways, Sunday roasts, crisps and sweets.
Her elderly owner behaved as if the dog was her best friend and gave her the same meals she was having.
When the lady became ill, a Dogs Trust centre took Cassie in and the staff were horrified to see the state of her health .
She was so big that the staff had to lift her on a "sling" under her belly and she was only able to walk for three minutes in a go before getting tired.
After adhering to a strict diet and exercise regime for six months Cassie has halved in size and weight.
She is now a totally different dog.
