The Animal Health Trust

The Animal Health Trust fight disease and injury in animals, and work to advance science in the field of animal health care.

Focusing mainly on the health of dogs, horses and cats, the research looks at both inherited diseases and infectious diseases, while carrying out surveillance on diseases and tracking how they are affecting animals and how many are suffering.

They also work with referrals of both large and small animals, supply some diagnostic services, and work to improve education about animal health and care.

The Animal Health Trust was founded in 1942 and was awarded a Royal Charter in 1963. However, it has no government funding, and relies on donations, volunteers and fund raising.
