Jerry Green Dog Rescue has adopted the services of Shooting Star PR in order to boost its public profile and support its fundraising activities.
The charity – which was founded in 1961 – looks after dogs that are abandoned by their owners in its five centres across Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. It has appointed the PR agency to handle its publicity following the introduction of a tender process last year.
Catherine Foster, head of fundraising at Jerry Green Dog Rescue, stated the body wanted to work with an organisation that is capable, responsible and good with dogs.
She added: “We were delighted to find Shooting Star PR and we are already working closely together with their team on a number of projects.”
The dog rescue company has also launched a campaign for Valentine’s Day entitled Love Us, Love Our Dogs, which is encouraging people to donate a shoebox filled with pet toys and treats to their local centre.
Suggested gifts include dog biscuits, gravy bones, chews and kongs and all items will be given to dogs at every site to enjoy.
