Pet insurance discount announced

The Co-operative has revealed that it will offer a 25 per cent reduction in pet insurance for a limited time.

According to internal data, January is historically the peak month for owners to take out insurance for their pets, but it is also the month where finances are stretched due to the recent festive period.

Customers will receive a 25 per cent discount if they purchase pet insurance online with the Co-op until February 28th. There are two options – the classic cover option which is designed for pet owners looking for essential cover, while the select plus insurance is more comprehensive. In addition, pet owners can purchase the additional benefits or pet travel bundle to provide further care.

Andrew Nevitt, head of pet insurance, said that it could be very expensive for an owner who doesn’t have insurance to fund healthcare a pet might need if it were to fall ill.

“This discount gives customers the chance to take out affordable insurance that guarantees them peace of mind. Being prepared financially is all part of being a responsible pet owner and we hope this encourages people to think about insuring their pet,” he added.
