The Briard is an ancient breed of large herding dog, originally from France. The breed became popular in 1863 after the breed had been crossed with the Beauceron and the Barbet. During the First World War, the Briard was used, almost to the point of extinction, by the French Army as a sentry, messenger and to search for wounded soldiers. The Briard’s modern-day roles include police, military and search-and-rescue work, as well as a companion dog. The Briard Clipper set combines the popular Masterclip Pedigree Pro dog clipper with a set of high quality German steel clipper blades. The number 30F blade cuts to 1.6mm and is ideal for short cut trimming around the face, feet and back end for sanitary purposes. This set also includes a comb set which is useful should you want to trim the body of your dogs coat, but want to leave more hair on. The guards come is four different depths 3mm, 6mm, 10mm and 13mm and simply hook on to the back of the 30F blade.
