A businesswoman from Suffolk has come up with a new machine aimed at allowing people to walk their dog when conditions are treacherous outside.
Sammy French thought up the Fit Fur Life range – which includes a dog treadmill – when her pooch was unable to leave the house for several months following an operation, the Daily Mail reports.
The treadmills are smaller in size compared to running machines used by humans and are designed for dogs that have either been injured or are simply in need of more exercise, while they might also be ideal for cold snaps when the ground is covered in ice.
Available in a number of different sizes, users are likely to find a treadmill that is suited to their particular breed of dog. The smallest machine can be used by little four-legged friends such as chihuahuas and cocker spaniels, with the equipment setting back owners around £870.
For those with larger breeds such as a Great Dane or a mastiff, owners can expect to spend in the region of £7,795 to get hold of an Ultimate Treadmill.
